How to Add Excerpt to WordPress Page and Post?

To include an excerpt on your page, follow these steps:

Copy the code below and paste it into the function.php file of your template:

add_post_type_support( ‘page’, ‘excerpt’ );

Navigate to “Pages” in your WordPress dashboard and either create a new page by selecting “Add New” or edit an existing page.

You will now see the excerpt option available in the options panel on the right side of the screen.
