BFM 89.9 is Malaysia’s only independent radio station, dedicated to business, news, health, culture, and current affairs. Launched on 4 September 2008, it was founded by Malek Ali, a former corporate lawyer, with the vision of promoting rational, evidence-based discourse to support better policy-making in Malaysia.

Inspired by stations like London’s LBC, BFM was established as the country’s first business-focused radio station.
